Salesforce Labs FY22 Year-End RecAPP
The New Year is quickly approaching, and we’re looking back at all we’ve accomplished! This past year was an explosive one for Salesforce Labs. Throughout 2021, we brought 30+ new solutions to AppExchange, and we still have some in the process! Despite spending another year in semi-lockdown, we managed to connect with Trailblazers from all over the world- in some ways we didn’t think were possible! We’re closing out the year with a new WrAPP up, where you can recAPP on all Labs activities from the past year. Keep reading for a summary of 2021 for Salesforce Labs.
10 Must-Have Solutions
Spreading Appy-ness is our passion. Since 2020, we’ve increased our outreach to Medium, so you can stay updated on everything related to Salesforce Labs. This past year, we also brought 10 new stories to help you learn about some of the free, employee-built solutions available on the AppExchange marketplace, and we even picked out our favorites to share with you. We compiled a list of some spectacular Labs apps that can help you manage your data, and are a necessity to any Salesforce admin who wants to help organizations better organize their data.

9 Award-Winning Apps
Hang tight, we’re getting ready to select our next Salesforce Labs Beaker Award winners! The Salesforce Labs Beaker Awards, (formerly known as the Labs Appy Awards,) provide recognition to our builders and distinguish some of the most loved Labs solutions released in the past year. Every year, we select a handful of Salesforce Labs solutions that have truly revolutionized the Salesforce platform and celebrate their contributions to the world’s #1 cloud-based marketplace. In FY21, we had a total of nine award winners who brought their creativity and innovation to the next level. CMS Content Type Manager is still being installed and utilized by customers today, and Multi-Org Security Summary continues to be loved by admins and architects alike.

8 Monthly Rewinds
If you’re interested in catching up on all new Labs apps released, be sure to check out our Monthly Rewinds. This video series highlights new Labs to hit the AppExchange marketplace in a given month. This year also highlighted the launch of our new Rewind blogs. It’s updated monthly and showcases all the new solutions released in the past 30 days. Aside from learning about the newest solutions, you can also read about the Labs to have made it to AppExchange in the past three months, so you can stay up to date on the newest additions from the Labs team.

7 Test Drives
The New Test Drive collection page launched in the latter half of the year, and we were thrilled to be featured! A test drive enables prospects to try out an AppExchange solution through a read-only simulation and can provide potential customers a hands-on trial of an app. We have seven Labs solutions available for you to try through this new landing page and hope they can help you learn more about these apps’ purpose and capabilities.

6 Pardot Solutions
The Test Drive Collection page wasn’t the only new addition to AppExchange this year. The team also rolled out a new page filled with solutions that can extend Pardot in different ways. Salesforce Labs contributed six solutions to this spectacular list, and we’re so excited to share them with you! Whether you’re looking to embed videos into your emails or want to kickstart your own email marketing campaign, you’re sure to find something that can enhance your current processes.

5 New Reports and Dashboards
Our customers love prepackaged dashboards. These solutions offer valuable insights into your business’ performance and require minimal setup to get up and running. Case Milestones and Entitlements Dashboard, for example, provides insight into your business’ service level agreements, and how well you keep up with them. There are even a few Einstein/Tableau CRM dashboards that summarize your case classification setup and your prediction builder value. There are also a couple of handy reports to offer insight into your chatbots’ performance and your overall business value. Plus, we even rolled out a fun quiz for you to take to find out which dashboard would best meet your business needs.

4 Local Sessions
This year, the team was lucky enough to have the opportunity to connect with employees and Trailblazers on a local level. We had the paw-some chance to speak to the Wisconsin and San-Diego Community User groups about some of our fave Labs solutions. Plus, we also spoke internally about the program to our hubs in Canada and Chicago and explained how we help employees bring their ideas to AppExchange. Not only did Trailblazers have the opportunity to learn about some stellar labs apps, but employees also learned how they can submit their creations to AppExchange.

3 Dreamforce Appearances
Dreamforce returned this past September, and we couldn’t have been more excited to reconnect with everyone online. We were blown away by all the sessions the event had to offer, but we were even more surprised to see Labs make a few surprise appearances! Our very own Kam Patel presented about his solution PI App, which enables ISVs to accurately track and report on things like installations, org editions, and more with AWS. Trailblazers also learned how to design and build apps for #awesome admins, and gave a brief overview of the home/child Kanban solution. Plus, our flow solution, Service Agent Script for Flow wowed the audience with a live demo during the Future of Admin Success session.

2 Epic Demo Jams
Jamming with Appy is one of our fave activities on the AppExchange team. These fun, fast-paced sessions showcase several apps that can be deployed to your org in a competitive game show-style event where you vote for the winner. We hosted two Demo Jams his year, highlighting Apps4Admins and solutions that can extend Experience Cloud. Whether you want to learn more about Salesforce Labs apps, or AppExchange in general, these sessions can be a great way to learn more about what employees and partners are building.

1 App-Tacular Salesforce Labs Day
We can’t wrap up 2021 without mentioning our Salesforce Labs Day Summer event. For the first time since 2019, we brought Trailblazers together from all around the world to learn about Salesforce Labs. We had six amazing sessions from Labs builders and Trailblazers alike, and we even included a sweepstakes for participants. These sessions walked Trailblazers through the process of creating an awesome UI, how to utilize the Query Studio for Marketing Cloud solution for audience segmentation, and showcased some customizable dashboards that can offer insight into your business’ workflows.
